1) Restaurant Revitalization Fund is a program through the American Rescue Plan Act to provide grant funding to restaurants, bars, bakeries, and more (must have at least 33% on-site sales). Applications are not yet open (likely end of April), but you can start to prepare! When the program opens, the first 21 days will only be open to small businesses owned by women, veterans, or in certain neighborhoods (*this priority opening includes all AsiaTown businesses!) Grant amount is based on pandemic-related revenue loss - calculated by subtracting 2020 gross receipts from 2019 gross receipts. PPP draws in 2020 and 2021 will be deducted. Grant funds can be used for a variety of expenses, including payroll, mortgage, rent, utilities, supplies, and other operational expenses.

3) Outdoor Dining: We are part of a city-wide initiative to advocate for designing a basic parklet for businesses - and possibly some limited funding. This is an outdoor dining area created in spaces that are typically parking (on-street parking spaces or parking lots). Are you interested or even just curious about creating a parklet? Please let me know!
This is based on the idea of the Temporary Expansion Area permit from the City: This outdoor dining program allows food establishments to set up dining areas in the public right-of-way, using parklets (converted on-street parking spaces) and eating plazas (in parking lots). This program is not relevant for traditional patio spaces; it only concerns these special parklets and parking areas. Applications can be found here.

4) Targeted EIDL Advance: Effective immediately, applicants can send a request for reevaluation of a Targeted EIDL Advance application that was declined to the following email address: TargetedAdvanceReevaluation@sba.gov with the subject line "Revealuation Request for [insert 10-digit application number]". The EIDL includes grants of up to $10,000 for small businesses who apply for EIDL loans.
SBA has increased lending limit to a maximum of $500,000 through the Economic Injury Disaster Loan program (EIDL)

5) PPP: PPP loans are still currently available until May 31, 2021. Apply for a first or second draw and loan forgiveness. The PPP eligibility has expanded to non-citizens, including green card holders. The loan calculation has been revised to include sole proprieters and those who are self employed.
Beware of scams and phishing! All SBA communications will come from email addresses ending in @sba.gov or @updates.sba.gov. Anyone who contacts you not from an official email address may be fraud - please be careful!

6) COVID Funeral Assistance program - up to $9,000 in reimbursable support for funeral expenses is available for those who have lost a family member due to COVID-19 . Death must have occurred in the United States; death certificate naming COVID-related reason is required. Register by calling 844-684-6333 or 800-462-7595 between 9am and 9pm eastern.
