Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration

   The Cleveland Orchestra will host its free, annual concert honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Concert Hall at Severance Music Center on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at 7 p.m. Free tickets are available first-come, first-served.
   The Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Concert on January 14 will be broadcast live for free on Adella.Live, the digital home of The Cleveland Orchestra. It will also be available to watch live on YouTube.
   The celebration of Dr. King continues with a free MLK Community Open House & Day of Music on Monday, January 15, from noon to 5 p.m. Severance Music Center will be filled with music, dancing, and more. The casual environment of the Day of Music welcomes visitors of all ages to experience performances by community ensembles throughout the building and enjoy hands-on activities. Tickets are not required.

   Free and open to the public. Honor iconic civil rights leader the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and everyday citizens who fought against discrimination while celebrating the everyday hero in you. See the treasures and ritual objects in The Temple-Tifereth Israel Gallery, and share in the Jewish immigrant experience that makes up An American Story. Explore the Maltz Museum’s special exhibition, The Girl in the Diary: Searching for Rywka from the Lodz Ghetto, while enjoying hands-on activities on this family-friendly day!
   Don’t miss featured Keynote Speaker Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Wesley Lowrey at 1pm. A book signing will follow.
